This APG stove pairs a gas burner with a clip-on radiant grate, so the same unit boils water for coffee and then throws warmth into a cold camp. A switch on the grate chooses between cooking only, heating only, or both at once, and the flame adjusts smoothly up to 2000W. It stands 7.4 inches tall with the grate fitted and weighs 1.23 lbs, small enough to live in a camp kitchen box all year.
Three Modes From One Switch
Use the burner on its own for the fastest boil: half a litre of water in about 2 minutes 15 seconds. Turn on the grate for cook-and-heat mode (about 4 minutes 30 seconds for the same boil), or switch the grate to heat only when you just want warmth. The manufacturer notes the boil times are for reference.
360° Radiant Warmth
The radiant grate spreads heat in every direction around the stove rather than straight up, warming an area of up to about 54 square feet. It suits cold mornings at camp, ice fishing and winter picnics. Always use it with ventilation, never in a closed space, and turn it off before sleeping.
